Description
The West Rim Trail is a 30.5-mile trail located along the west rim of Pine Creek Gorge, also known as "The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon", in the Tioga State Forest of north central Pennsylvania. The trail features breathtaking vistas of the gorge and the surrounding Allegheny Plateau, as well as a variety of forest types and environments. Typical backpacking time for the trail is 2.5 to 3 days. The Guide to the West Rim Trail is a detailed interpretive trail guide written to help you plan your trip and provide you with a wealth of information about the human and natural history of the region for your enjoyment both on the trail and from your favorite armchair.
