Description
Jeff Alt convinced his wife Beth, who preferred vacations with hot showers and warm beds, to hike the 218-mile John Muir Trail to help her overcome the loss of her brother. As they journeyed across California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range, carrying all their supplies and sleeping on the ground, they raised awareness for depression. Beth often realized she had been taken for 'a hike.'
